Caffè
di Lucca is the recipient of the prestigious 2009 Business of the Year
award that was presented at the
Tinsel & Tango Holiday Gala on December 7th.
We congratulate Paula Barnes and her wonderful
staff of eight for their exceptional contributions to our community and
for welcoming each of their guests as their own best friend!
Caffè di Lucca...translated
means "Coffee of Lucca". Located near Pisa and Florence, Lucca, Italy
boasts an enormous historical and artistic heritage. Our own Caffè di
Lucca is located on Upper Bear Creek Road across from Evergreen Lake and
surrounded by mountains at the base of Mt. Evans and is fondly referred
to as the “Cheers of Evergreen”! For 10 years, the café has been serving
up specialty coffee drinks, baked goods, and Panini sandwiches to enjoy
while overlooking Evergreen Lake, visiting with friends or coffee that
can be purchased by the pound to savor at home.
Caffè di Lucca has
been an active member of the Evergreen Chamber for 10 years and Paula is
a former EACC Board of Director; she presently serves on the Mt. Evans
Hospice Board where she has been instrumental in setting up
threeComfort-Care rooms at Elk run Assisted Living for hospice and past
surgical patients in the Evergreen community.
For a taste of
Italy and a hometown welcome, please visit Caffè di Lucca by the lake.
