Transportation |
Regional
Transportation District (RTD):
For those traveling into Denver, there are four RTD park-n-ride bus stops in
Evergreen located at
- El Rancho just before I-70,
- CR 65 in Bergen Park,
- Christ the King Catholic Church above Evergreen Lake, and the
- Lutheran Church of the Cross on Meadow Drive.
Fare ranges from $1.15 to $3.50 each way. For scheduled pick-up times or more
information, call 303-299-6000 or 1-800-366-7433 or visit
www.RTD-Denver.com.
RTD Call-n-Ride:
Another transportation option in Evergreen is the RTD Call-n-Ride. Service is
provided within the boundaries of the Evergreen Metropolitan District, which is
divided into two zones, Zone A – the area north of Stagecoach Blvd., and Zone B
– the area to the south. Ride requests are scheduled by the driver of the zone
from which the ride would be departing, and should be made a minimum of one hour
in advance. Two bright green buses provide curb-to-curb rides for people of all
ages who do not need personal assistance. Call-n-Ride meets the needs of those
who want to commute to the Park-n-Rides, school, work, shopping and
appointments, or other personal outings.
-
Call-n-Ride information is available by calling 303-944-7451.
Rides are scheduled by zone:
- Zone A (north of Stagecoach Blvd) is 303-944-7474
- Zone B (south of Stagecoach Blvd.) is 303-944-5777.
Mountain Wheels:
Mountain Wheels provides the general public with a wide range of
transportation options. Seniors and disabled persons are able to maintain their
independence by not having to rely on others for transportation. Trip reasons
include grocery and other shopping, medical and business appointments, personal
and many others. Door-to-door service is available not only within our
community, but outside the community as well, such as trips to the Denver area.
Personal support and assistance are provided by the Mountain Wheels drivers to
clients with disabilities and those with wheelchairs or walkers, as well as
those with packages and groceries. We ask that rides be scheduled a minimum of
two working days in advance.
For more information about or to schedule a ride with Mountain Wheels,
please call the Senior Resource Center’s transportation department at 303-679-2552.
