America's Best High Schools: The List
Each year, NEWSWEEK picks the best high schools in the country based on how hard school staffs work to challenge students with advanced-placement college-level courses and tests. Just over 1,600 schools—only 6 percent of all the public schools in the U.S.—made the list.
Only 29 Colorado schools made the list, and of those Evergreen was ranked #8.
Evergreen High School Ranked 374 in the U.S.
Three other Jefferson County Schools made this year's list:
Lakewood ranks 229
Conifer ranks 514
D’Evelyn ranks 663
“The fact that our Jeffco schools showed up on this impressive list is proof that our staff does an excellent job of providing all students with a strong foundation,” said Jeffco Superintendent Cindy Stevenson. “We’re very proud of that in Jeffco.”
Bergen Meadow Elementary, Bergen Valley Elementary, Conifer High School, Evergreen Middle School, King-Murphy Elementary, Marshdale Elementary, West Jeff Middle School, and Wilmot Elementary are a few of our fantastic Evergreen-area schools.
Our community boasts a number of montessori, charter and private choice schools as well.
