With its natural mountain beauty, central location and variety of professional vendors and accommodations, Evergreen can offer the perfect setting to make your wedding, reunion or special event a day to remember. Whether you're looking for the intimacy that can be provided by a small private venue or a rustic outdoor feel that provides expansive views in all directions, Evergreen's local providers can meet-and exceed-your expectations for an Evergreen wedding!

Plenty to keep guests entertained

"Nestled in the beauty of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, historic Evergreen is a perfect location for a romantic mountain wedding in Evergreen or a fun-filled reunion," explained Lisa and Tommy Cordova of Alpen Way Chalet Mountain Lodge. "With an abundance of hiking, biking and walking trails just minutes from downtown, guests have plenty of options for enjoying outdoor activities, as well as shopping, dining and nightlife."

Located only half a mile from Evergreen's historic downtown, Alpen Way provides beautifully landscaped grounds and private rooms and suites, each with its own unique mountain lodge feeling. From smaller events to full-lodge bookings, the lodge's custom-built pergola, fire pit and hot tub create a one-stop experience to remember.

Unique accommodations

Evergreen gives those hosting an event the ability to get away from the mountains without going all the way to the high-country and all that entails. Highland Haven Creekside Inn is walking distance to downtown yet offers a secluded setting along Bear Creek surrounded by 80-foot blue spruces that is quiet and serene.

"With 17 guest rooms, suites and cottages plus one decadent TreeHouse to choose from, there are accommodations to fit every need and desire," explains Highland Haven Creekside Inn Marketing and Executive Retreats Manager Allison Walker. "For those getting married the TreeHouse offers the ultimate in romance with a custom chandelier hanging above an aspen-canopied king bed, fireplace, steam shower and jetted jacuzzi tub on the third floor with 300-degree views of the towering spruces plus a complimentary bottle of champagne for those that are celebrating."

A slower pace

Cheryl and Terry Hensley of Mountain Bounty Bed and Breakfast recognize that sometimes people just want to get away from the rush of a city.

"It's said that rest and relaxation are the best antidotes for a stressful world and Evergreen provides just that," they say. "We hosted a weekend retreat for breast cancer survivors-'Thrivers,' as the leader called them. They enjoyed sitting in the hot tub under the stars, good conversations around the fire pit and swaying on the porch swings while looking up the mountain valley. As one group's guest put it, 'I know the importance of breaking the routine, feeding the soul and connecting with nature. Our women had a fantastic experience and I couldn't be happier that I chose Evergreen!"

At Mountain Bounty, each cozy guest retreat is designed to honor the bounty of the mountains; some with log beds or antique furnishings, all with luxurious amenities, private baths and comfy seating. Guests wake to the aroma of freshly baked bread and a bountiful breakfast.

Wildlife

"At The Pines at Genesee, our guests are immersed in a warmly elegant mountain-contemporary setting, pampered by expert and caring staff, and inspired by views of Colorado's Front Range and downtown Denver beyond," says Event Coordinator Erika Norcross. "A roaring fireplace, large windows, and beautiful interiors will impress your guests, and thoughtful homey touches will put them at ease. Set on three wooded acres, The Pines showcases all nature has to offer-rustling groves of pine trees, Colorado flora and fauna, even the occasional curious elk, deer or fox."

The Pines is not only a destination venue but also provides catering through The Pines Catering-even at other local venues, should The Pines at Genesee not be the right fit. The venue allows guests to supply their own alcohol, which can be served by certified bartenders.

Historic meets modern

Surrounded by diverse 'old-growth' forest, seasonally changing Aspens and a spring-fed creek with its own reflection pond, Meadow Creek Lodge and Events Center sits on 34 secluded acres.

"Our facility was built by an Italian prince back in the 1920s but now serves as a lovely couple's getaway, intimate group gathering spot and popular wedding venue," say owners Jayne and Rob Holmes. "We've combined a historic bed and breakfast inn with modern event facilities."

Set in nearby Pine, Meadow Creek accommodates up to 120 guests and because it's a full tavern licensed with the state, it can provide beverages. The venue also allows self-catered and outside catering options and can help you choose from a list of preferred vendors.

All-inclusive planning

In most cases, people in charge of planning a "mountain-scenic" event are hoping to spend more time experiencing the event than organize all the details. Luckily, many of the venues in or near Evergreen provide more than just a place to sleep or hold your event. At Christie's of Genesee guests can still revel in the beauty of nature thanks to an outdoor garden and patio area without making separate arrangements for food, drinks or entertainment.

"As an all-inclusive venue, we take care of catering, bar service, tables and linens, the sound system and more," explains Frank Frosh of Christie's of Genesee. "We take care of everything, from set-up and clean-up to waitstaff and bartenders. We even provide a manager to guide you through the event. We want our guests to have fun and leave the details to us!"

Luxurious details

Just because you've chosen a mountain setting for your event doesn't mean it can't include luxury! Blackstone Rivers Ranch's riverfront mountain venue offers a main lodge with stunning dressing suites, a caterer's kitchen and a gracious lounge/theater party space.

"From May to October, we offer an elegant and finely crafted sail cloth reception tent space for dining, drinking and dancing," says Venue Coordinator and Events Manager Cheryl Anne Oller. "Each space is set up for your cocktail reception, dinner and post-ceremony celebrations. We host one, completely unique curated and exclusive event each day."

Expansive sound and video technology

Choosing a rustic setting doesn't mean you'll miss out on advances in technology. Sound Mountain Entertainment offers professional DJ services, as well as state-of-the-art sound and lighting for your Evergreen wedding, reunion or other events.

"Our high-end equipment includes professional speakers, lighting, wireless lapels, and handheld microphones," explains Peyton Thomas, who owns Sound Mountain Entertainment with Gary Bird. "We're also FAA-drone certified, which can provide a unique way to capture memories of an event; from the sky! We have extensive knowledge of Evergreen and the surrounding area, which provides a breath-taking backdrop for the memorable video."
