A: No! There is no skating on Evergreen Lake, butNew Year's Eve still happens and so does our New Year's Eve Festival. It is just different. It will be a GIANT Street Party with Fireworks at 8.

Q: Will there be skating at Skate the Lake?
A: No. The Evergreen Lake is closed for skating and will not open until mid January.

Q: Why is the Skate the Lake still being called Skate the Lake if there is no skating?
A: Since this event started 24 years ago there has not been a motor vehicle fatality in our community on New Year's Eve and we would like to keep it that way. This is the largest family friendly alcohol free New Year's Eve party in the state and it is a fundraiser for 5 local nonprofits.  It has a name that is well known in the community.

A: No. This event is a fundraiser for Alpine Rescue, Bootstraps, DriveSmart, EAPL and the EChO Foodbank.

Q: If we cannot attend how do I get a refund for the tickets I purchased?
A: No refunds, this is a fundraiser.

Q: I want to hire a limo to drop my family off at the festival, is this possible?
A: No, there is no place for drops offs and no place for vehicles to turn around. Jeffco will have the roads closed off, and the Willow Creek parking lot will be closed as well. The best option is to take one of our shuttles from either US Bank or Christ the King.
