Below is an extended interview with Sara Rumrill, the Marketing Manager Paul Davis Restoration of the Front Range from our January 2020 Chamber Newsletter.

What service(s) or product(s) do you offer/manufacture?
24/7/365 residential and commercial emergency cleanup and restoration services for disasters of all sizes. Whether it be damage caused by water, fire/smoke, mold or storm, we can help with the cleanup and rebuild.

• What made you choose your current location?
Centrally located to quickly and efficiently respond to emergencies throughout our primary service areas of Jefferson, Boulder and Denver counties, including.

• What inspired you to get started in this business?
In what I hope/expect to be the final chapter of my professional career, I was looking for an opportunity to leverage my business experience in a way that could serve my community, while also providing career opportunities for like-minded teammates.

• How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
I chose the Paul Davis Restoration franchise network because of their "service first" philosophy, strong reputation, and expert training and support.

• How did you get the background and skills necessary to run this type of business?
As a capital intensive, customer service-oriented business with operating efficiency being a critical success factor, my finance, relationship-building and operations experience was a natural fit.

• What is unique about your business?
The work that we do for homeowners and business owners is non-discretionary - no one chooses to go through the emotional distress, the inconvenience, the financial cost of a disaster. As such, it is important to contract with a firm that will not only handle the technical side of the cleanup and rebuild, but also is going to take the time to assist with the insurance claims process…and, most importantly, do so with empathy! Further, many restoration firms only handle the cleanup and leave it up to the homeowner to find another contractor(s) to complete the rebuild - we are a full-service firm and will be the property owner's primary contact throughout the process.

• To what do you attribute your success?
Hiring service-oriented team members who see a purpose in helping their neighbors in a time of need, following industry standard cleaning protocols and investing in the training of our certified technicians.

• How do you measure success and over what time frame?
We measure success one family, one local business, one job at a time.

• Why do your customers select you over your competitors?
Our most satisfied customers say that we respond promptly; are professional, kind and thoughtful; help educate them on the restoration process; communicate our progress throughout and treat their home/business as if it was their own.

• What other categories of Evergreen Chamber member businesses would be great partners for you?
Our business can benefit from developing trusted relationships with anyone that might have influence with a property owner - ie, insurance agents, realtors, trades people - anyone that could be asked who can help with an unexpected disaster at their home or business. Likewise, we have the need to be able to recommend and/or subcontract with skilled trades people (eg, plumbers, electricians, painters, drywallers, roofers, etc).
